Married Students

As a student at Pacific Adventist University, there are range of accommodation options available to suit your needs.

Living on campus provides a great social environment, giving you the opportunity to meet lots of new people and learn and understand the diverse culture of the Pacific Islands and abroad.  It also provides you with a great study support network as you are living with people who are going through the same experiences as you.

FAMILY UNITS

Pacific Adventist University provides independent accommodation to married couples and families. There are four villages in this housing community.  Each village has number of houses/units ranges from 12-17 with the overall total of 59 housing.
Accommodation with 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom. Each unit has a lounge room/living room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry and storage area.

APPLICATION

Due to the high demand of these units, it is recommended that you lodge your request when filling the application form and further laisse with your sponsor and the PAU School Deans.  Once the house becomes available, you will have to fill the Residential Tenancy form. Units are then allocated as per an approval process and authorized by the Housing Committee. For further information, including rental cost, please refer to the enclosure your acceptance letter.

The following is a representative list of basic items of furniture: 

  • 1 double bed in the main bedroom with no mattress 
  • 1 single bed in each of the other bedrooms with no mattresses 
  • 1 wardrobe in each room 
  • 1 chest of drawers and mirror in some rooms 
  • 1 dining table and 4-6 chairs 
  • 1 lounge (day-bed) or 
  • 2 lounge chairs 
VILLAGE SPIRITUAL PROGRAMS 
  • Tuesday Evening—Village Worship
  • Wednesday Evening—Prayer Meeting (KPEC) 
  • Thursday Evening—Regional/Union worship.
  • Friday Evening—Vespers/FNF
  • Family Enrichment– Weekend Retreats
  • Week of Prayer lead-up program.
OTHER SERVICES AVAILABLE TO MARRIED STUDENTS
  • Friday shopping trips—Pay at the cashier before Wednesdays of each week.
  • Clinic  – Clinic Hours (9.am-4pm: Mon –Thur; Friday: 9am-11.30am. 
  • Markets –  PAU Sunday market and week days market is available for Married Students to sell vegetarian meal for their little income earnings.
  • Life Skills Training –  is available for married students spouse on Sundays..
  • PAU Minimart – selling food and other basic needs for families
  • PAU Farm Shop – available for staff and students to buy fresh produce from the University farm.
