PAU offers a specialized cohort-based Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry program, specifically tailored to meet the needs of seasoned pastors residing in the South Pacific Islands. This rigorous part-time curriculum is meticulously structured to accommodate the demanding schedules and ongoing ministerial obligations of experienced pastors who are unable to commit to prolonged periods of study at a traditional Seminary.
The Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry program is strategically designed with nested options. The design of these exit awards is carefully orchestrated to foster the development of high-calibre graduates who possess the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation necessary to make significant contributions to leadership, ministry, and mission within the context of Pasifika. It also provides alternative pathways for students facing obstacles that may hinder their completion of the full 4-year program. These nested programs offer two distinct exit awards, ensuring that individuals encountering various challenges throughout their academic journey are still able to attain recognition for their educational accomplishments.
The MA (PastMin) provides professional development avenues for ministers and other skilled pastoral personnel for service in the Adventist Church in Pacifika. It provides capacity building for future leadership within the church, including in-depth study.
