4 years full time – Koiari Park Campus

The B.Sc. degree is an integrated degree providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in science and geared for the rapidly developing countries of the Pacific.  The subjects encourage critical thinking and problem solving and provide practical laboratory and field experience. The degree is designed to prepare graduates for employment in industry, academia and research facilities. Students specialise in two major disciplines or alternatively study a single major and two minor areas. All major discipline areas require a research component taken as a subject and usually conducted in the final year.

• Environmental Science
• Mathematics
• Physics

There is a practicum session in the 2nd and 3rd year where students are attached to a company or research institute for a number of weeks during the mid-semester break.

Bachelor of Science (Honours)

1 year full time – Koiari Park Campus

B.Sc . (Hons) is a one-year research based qualification for those who have already completed a B.Sc. Currently this is being offered in the area of Environmental Science. The research topic is chosen in consultation with the Dean and the supervisor.
