Sponsorships, Scholarships and Subsidies
PAU students have available a number of sponsorships and scholarships from various government and private sources.

PNG Tertiary Education Study Assistance Scheme (TESAS)
TESAS scholarships currently available in two categories:
- Academic Excellence Scholarship Category (AES) is available to students who are in the top 5% of the institution's academic performance (achieving a semester GPA of 3.6 or more in both semesters). TESAS-AES meets K3, 600 of the fees and students meet the difference in fees.
- High Education Contribution Assistance Scheme Category (HECAS) is available to students who are in the next 48% of the institutions academic performance, or have a semester GPA between 2.0 to 3.5. TESAS-HECAS meets K2, 700 of the fees and students meet the difference in fees.
TESAS scholarships are available only to PNG students. For full details, conditions and requirements about the TESAS scholarships and how to apply, please contact the Office of Higher Education (OHE).
Note: Information about TESAS scholarships are provided to assist students to access the scholarships and make an informed decision. PAU cannot make any representation for the OHE requirements and all information must be confirmed with the OHE.
Provincial Government Scholarships
Some provincial governments in PNG provide scholarship and financial assistance to students studying at higher education institutions. Currently the following governments are providing some financial assistance.

International Government Scholarships
Overseas governments and agencies such as AusAid, PATTAF, and Solomon Islands Government offer full scholarships for academically suitable applicants. Please contact your government scholarship offices for further details.
PAU Work Scholarship Scheme (PAUWSS)
A small number of students are accepted on the PAUWSS programme on the basis of academic merit and financial need as well as overall student's performance. This scheme is applicable only to enrolled students.

There are a number of other general scholarships, incentive and assistance awards that are available to students studying at PAU. Some of these are:
- Theology Scholarships
- Text Book Allowances
- School Awards (Two awards per semester @ K500 per student awarded based on varying criterion depending on the school.)
- Senate Awards
- Ministerial Support Fund
- PAUSA
- PNGUM Sponsorships
- Elisha Fund (Available to education 3rd & 4th Year students by application)
