Master of Arts (Pastoral Ministry)

Course Overview

The MA (PastMin) is a coursework degree, delivered principally on location at the Study Centre located at Lae, Papua New Guinea Union Mission (PNGUM) in four intensives, each of eight weeks duration, over a four year period.

The programme is designed to provide an avenue for professional development for ministers and other skilled pastoral personnel for service in the Adventist Church in the oceanic countries of the South Pacific. The programme includes in-depth study on key aspects of pastoral ministry and of administration and leadership.

Who should do this course?

It provides capacity building for future leadership within the Adventist church.
It provides an avenue for people engaged in ministry to grow in their knowledge of areas relevant to ministry and further sharpen their skills in ministry.

Four years part-time Study, undertaken in four * 8 week intensives.

Lae Study Centre, Papua New Guinea Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists, Lae, PNG (with one intensive session held at the Koiari Park Campus, Port Moresby, PNG)

Entry Requirement

A relevant Bachelor degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5 (or equivalent) OR two postgraduate level subjects with a minimum GPA of 2.7 (or equivalent) PLUS 3 years of relevant experience PLUS a recommendation from Church administrator/employer.
