Course Overview
A Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting) provides students with the required skills for clerical and administrative positions in large or small companies, as well as for the SDA Church employment in PNG.
Who should do this course?
Build a career in business by taking the first step in studying for a diploma in business. This course will help you understand the modern business practices that are practiced in the business world today and within the PNG context.
Practical Experience
In the current practice - first year students are not required to engage in practicum. Practicum is only organized for the final (second) year students. They are engaged in a four (4) weeks practicum with major banks such as Bank South Pacific (BSP) and Australia New Zealand Bank (ANZ), or with Government entities such as Waterboard, Port Services, Provincial Treasuries, PNG Telikom Ltd, PNG Power, or private companies such as AgMark, NARI, or with the SDA Church Treasury departments.

Professional Recognition
Students enrolled in this course can be junior members CPA PNG.
Career Opportunities
Our graduates are employed by major commercial banks in PNG, within the SDA church treasury divisions, private firms and government organisations. And many of them excel in the careers and have been promoted rapidly to senior managerial positions in their short experience of their employment.
