Bachelor of Education (Secondary)
Course Overview
PAU Secondary Teacher Education program is different from other university training courses because of its emphasis on service and Christian leadership. PAU Education courses are designed to prepare students for teaching careers in Elementary, Primary, and Secondary schools in the Pacific region. This course aims to integrate Christian values with best teaching principles. PAU trained teachers maintain an effective balance between theory and practice in order to acquire an appropriate level of professional confidence and skill necessary to direct their own classrooms effectively.
Who should do this course?
Graduate teachers acquire a well grounded competence and effectively direct their own classrooms.
Practical Experience
All students are required to complete a minimum of 16 weeks, 4 weeks per year.

Career Opportunities
Examples include secondary teachers in Adventist, government and independent school systems; teaching and educator roles in community situations, after-school care co-ordinator, tutor, community/environment/outdoors educator, curriculum consultancy, educational research, corporate training and development, government (policy development) and educational administration.
Entry Requirements
GPA or equivalent: Minimum 2.5
Maths B or equivalent - Two As and the rest Bs
